Sarah Bystrom Viola Bow
A skilled contemporary American maker, Sarah Bystrom started as an apprentice under John Reed, completing two violins by the age of 17. She went on to attend the Violin and Bow Repair program at Minnesota State College Southeast, under the direction of Lisbeth Nelson Butler, from which she graduated in 2013. She then moved to Nashville Tennessee to work at Williams Fine Violins for several years. She studied bow making under the direction of renowned award winning bow maker, Rodney Mohr. Sarah is an active member of the Violin Society of America and has attended numerous workshops through Oberlin College and Learning Trade Secrets to further her skills.
