Rudolf Buchner was born in Schoenbach in 1926. As an adult, Buchner honed his abilities under the tutelage of master violin maker, Roman Teller. In 1961, he was awarded the title of master in Nuremberg and in 1969 he took over his father-in-law’s workshop.  Today, the “Roman Teller” and “Rudolf Buchner” instruments are highly sought after by performers. He created several violins as well as cellos and violas, all hand varnished. The use of tone woods in his instruments make them perfect for soloist or orchestra performers alike.
